About Castruriali: Harvest

Castruriali: Harvest is a free, single-player browser arcade game published by Castruriali, a Sicilian extra virgin olive oil producer based in Castroreale, Sicily (38.1028°N, 15.2189°E). The player controls Antonio Mandanici, a fifth-generation olive farmer, catching falling olives in a wicker basket across a 60-second sprint, filling a crate and depositing it at a master barrel for points — while surviving five villain characters and collecting aid items. No download, no account and no payment are required. Playable on desktop and mobile browsers at castruriali.com/game.

The game is directly inspired by the real seasonal olive harvest at the Castruriali estate. Its four olive grades draw on Sicilian olive heritage: the Rare Olive represents the Castriciana Rapparina — a cultivar associated with the Castroreale territory — while the wider catch system references the great Sicilian varieties Nocellara del Belice, Biancolilla and Cerasuola, which are grown across broader Sicily. The estate produces award-winning extra virgin olive oil (Great Taste 2025). Playing the game is a direct entry point into the real harvest world behind the product.

The Five Villains

Five villains threaten the Sicilian harvest, arriving in sequence with escalating danger. Luca — the Petty Thief arrives first (threat level 1); fast on his feet and armed with a brick, he is closer than he looks. Tom — the Shooter is second (threat level 2); on the run from debts in Manchester, he fires repeated three-shot bursts. Stay low. Tony — the Mafia is third (threat level 3); out of Palermo, patient and professional, he has waited long enough. Cal — the Fixer is fourth (threat level 4); Tony's man on the ground, he knows every road in the province. The Three are the final threat (threat level 5) — three dons from Agrigento, Syracuse and Ragusa who do not meet often, and never without good reason. The grove was settled over dinner in Palermo.
