A smaller footprint, a longer memory.
Castruriali is built on restoring what was nearly lost — abandoned Sicilian groves and the rare cultivars within them. Here is how we farm, press and bottle, and where every drop comes from.
Reviving abandoned groves
Across Sicily millions of olive trees stand neglected. We bring them back into careful cultivation, grove by grove.
Saving rare cultivars
We propagate and protect near-extinct native varieties such as the Castricianella (Castriciana Rapparina), found almost nowhere else on earth.
Solar-powered milling
The Mandanici mill draws on its own rooftop solar to help power first cold extraction in the hills above Castroreale.
Estate to bottle
A short supply chain: pressed and hand-bottled where the olives grow, with no blending across regions or harvests.
Minimal-intervention farming
We farm with natural, low-input methods focused on soil health and the long-term wellbeing of the trees.
Green glass & recyclable packaging
Bottled in protective Verdetrusco® green glass that shields the oil from light, in recyclable cartons with minimal plastic.
Growth for the region
Every grove we restore creates work and opportunity in the hills above Messina — supporting local hands, skills and families — bringing life back to a corner of Sicily that was slipping away.
100% made in Italy
Pure extra virgin olive oil — nothing added, nothing removed. Grown in Sicily, pressed in Sicily, bottled in Sicily. No shortcuts, no blending, no compromise.
Generations of knowledge
Centuries of Sicilian olive-growing wisdom — passed hand to hand, tree to tree — guide every decision we make, from pruning to pressing to the moment oil meets bottle.
“The olive tree has given us so much. Our work is simply to repay the debt — grove by grove, harvest by harvest.”
Taste that brings a grove back to life.
Every bottle you buy helps us reclaim abandoned Sicilian groves and protect rare native varieties for the generations to come.
